Frequently asked questions

Everything about getting started, billing, proxy types, and support. Can't find an answer? Email [email protected].

Getting started

Sign up with just an email address — no name, phone number, or ID required. Verify your email, add crypto to your balance, and you can buy proxies right away. The whole signup takes a couple of minutes.

No. We don't run KYC and we don't collect personal data — no government ID, real name, phone number, or address. All we need is an email to create your account and crypto to fund it.

An email address and some cryptocurrency. Create your account, verify your email, deposit crypto to your balance, and buy the proxies you need.

Within seconds. Once your payment clears, your proxies are provisioned automatically and the credentials appear in your dashboard — usually in about seven seconds. There's no manual approval or waiting.

Billing & payments

We accept Bitcoin (BTC), USDT, Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Monero (XMR), along with other major cryptocurrencies through our payment processor. Payment is crypto-only — we don't take cards.

You deposit crypto and it's credited to your account as a USD balance. You spend that balance down as you buy and renew proxies, so you're not making a fresh crypto payment for every order. Top up whenever you're running low.

None. No contracts, no monthly minimums, and no auto-renew traps. You buy what you need when you need it, and you're never locked in or charged automatically without your say.

If a proxy fails to provision, we refund it — credited to your VirtProxy balance in USD, not back to crypto. Refunds cover failed provisioning rather than change-of-mind returns, so check our Terms for the details before you buy.

Yes. Proxies are active for the period you've paid for. Before they expire we email you a renewal reminder so you can renew from your balance — nothing auto-charges or renews without you choosing to. If you don't renew, the proxy simply lapses.

Proxies & technical

Datacenter and ISP proxies are available now, with residential and mobile proxies coming soon. Datacenter is the fastest and cheapest; ISP adds real-provider reputation for stricter targets.

Datacenter proxies run on server IPs — fastest and cheapest, ideal for most scraping and automation. ISP proxies have datacenter speed but carry a real internet provider's reputation, so they hold up on sites that block datacenter ranges. Residential proxies (coming soon) route through real home devices for the highest trust against the toughest targets.

Both. Every proxy works over HTTP(S) and SOCKS5, so you can use it with virtually any scraper, bot, or tool.

Proxies use username and password authentication. Your credentials appear in your dashboard right after provisioning — drop them into your tool and you're connected.

Datacenter and ISP proxies are static, so you keep the same IP (residential, coming soon, rotates from a pool). You can target by country across our locations, and datacenter and ISP also support state-level targeting when you need a more specific location.

Account & support

Email us at [email protected]. You'll reach the founder directly — no ticket queue, no bots.

We typically reply within a few hours. VirtProxy is a small, independent operation, so support is direct and personal — but it isn't staffed around the clock, so an occasional reply may take a little longer.

Most legitimate data and automation tasks are welcome — scraping, monitoring, verification, account management, and more (our use-case pages cover what each proxy type fits best). Anything prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy is off-limits, so check that first if you're unsure.

Our Acceptable Use Policy spells out what is and isn't allowed — no illegal activity, fraud, or abuse. You can read it in full on our AUP page before you buy.

Still have questions?
